In the clip,the1000-lb Sistersstar wore a black and white plaid sundress that showed off her dramatic sunflower chest tattoo. Tammy opens one of the kits and dresses up her pickle, which she eats at the end.

The clip is filmed in a car, which is impressive becauseTammy couldn’t use a regular car seator a normal seat belt before slimming down. When she weighed 725 pounds, she couldn’t sit in a regular car seat. Shehad to ride in the back of a specialty minivan with its center seats ripped out, soshe could sit on the floor.
Being able to fit in the seat of a normal car, means the1000-lb Sistersstar can drive herself around.

Since losing weight,Tammy has enjoyed experimenting with beauty products. In December 2023,Tammyposted a TikTok of herself rocking a dramatic eye-makeup look. In the clip, she’s wearinga vivid purple cardigan and her signature treble clef necklace pendant. Her heavily-filtered and bold blue eyes pop in the photo. She’s also wearing her familiar sunflower headband around her neck. Before losing weight, it would have been hard for Tammy to put on dramatic eye makeup because she couldn’t hold her arms up long enough to do so.
It has been speculated that Tammy wears the headband around her neck so often because she’s insecure about the loose skin. Tammy lost a significant amount of weight very quickly, which has left her with a lot of excess skin. Aside from how it looks, theextra skin is heavy and presents hygiene challenges. Though Tammy would love to have the excess skin removed, it’s an expensive surgery with many potential risks. Also, Tammy would have to stabilize her weight for a long time before she qualifies for the procedures.

Tammy’s not the only Slaton to lose a considerable amount of weight. Her sister and fellow1000-lb Sistersstar, Amy Slaton, made her television debut weighing over 400 pounds. She desperately wanted to have kids but knew she couldn’t do so at her size. She had bariatric surgery during season 1,lost 125 pounds, and went on to give birth to two healthy sons, Gage and Glenn Halterman. Sadly,Amy divorced their father, Michael Halterman, in 2023, and has been struggling with her mental health.
Tammy and Amy’s brother, Chris Combs, also had bariatric surgery during1000-lb Sistersseason 3 and has lost 150 pounds and counting.
Like Tammy, Chris has a lot of excess skin that he’s eager to remove. Not to be left out, the other Slaton sisters,Amanda Halterman and Misty Wentworth, both had bariatric surgery on the same day, back-to-back, in March 2023. Though it’s not yet known how much weight they’ve lost, they both look thinner in recent social media posts.1000-lb Sistersseason 6 is sure to continue following the Slatons as they pursue their health and weight-loss goals.
