The two fell in love and were quickly married in a small ceremony attended by family and close friends during1000-lb Sistersseason 5.
It was a surprising relationship because Tammy had never dated a larger man before, preferring to date thin men.
Tammy was able to lose weight faster than Caleb and was allowed to go home. Though the couple spoke daily, separation was difficult for them. Like Tammy, Caleb was trying to overcome his debilitating food addiction, but, unlike Tammy, he wasn’t able to rescue himself. In 2023, just a few months after the wedding,41-year-old Caleb dieddue to complications caused by his obesity. Though Tammy was devastated by Caleb’s death, she managed to stay on her path to health and weight loss, which is what Caleb would have wanted.
