Going by the trailer, Episode 5 will begin 17 days from the ship’s collision with Earth. Somehow, somewhere, creatures break out of their confinements and wreak havoc.

We only see a quick shot ofBear the Xenomorph, but after his unexpected demise in Episode 3, this will be the curtain call for the show’s first Xeno – and, presumably, another one will be introduced by the end of the series.

Wendy in Alien: Earth Episode 4

“One movie in one episode kinda vibe. I love it,” one viewer commented. “We get our favorite alien of all time back,” another wrote. “It looks like they’re gonna reveal what happened. What caused the ship to crash, and how did the crew die? This is gonna be interesting,” a third added.

The official synopsis for next week’s episode is very brief, but it tells you everything you need to know: “An outer-space vessel in peril leads to a dangerous reckoning.”

As for what will come after Episode 5, the series needs to explain Wendy’s connection to the Xenomorphs. In the closing scenes of Episode 4, she appears to replicate their language – and she even manages to pet a baby Xeno, which is unprecedented in the franchise.

Speaking toDecider, Hawley teased: “I mean, clearly it’s a matriarchy, clearly there’s a hive, clearly they’re drones, and clearly they can communicate on some level. Is it a pheromone? Is it telepathy? Is it a language we can hear, etc?

“Nothing is accidental to a kid, right? You know, everything feels meaningful. There’s a moment in the fourth hour where she’s like, ‘They chose me.’ Right? Which is not true. Right? They didn’t choose her. She just can hear them because of whatever hardware or software issue that she has.”
