Ana de Armas rumored for major MCU role and it’s obvious who it should be

Ana de Armas may be the latest A-lister to join theMarvelCinematic Universe’s ever-growing roster of superheroes, and there’s one character in particular she’d be perfect for.

Having first made a name for herself as the holographic AI in Blade Runner 2049, Armas’ star power has continued to rise. Since then, she’s appeared inKnives Out, but she’s also proven her action chops, playingBondgirl in No Time To Die.

More recently, Armas took on the leading role inJohn Wick spinoff Ballerina, portraying the dancing assassin raised by the same Ruska Roma syndicate that molded Wick himself.

DCU insider reveals “strong contender” for Wonder Woman role

While Anna Paquin played Rogue inFox’s X-Men movies, the MCU is set to bring a fresh face to the role. No official casting announcements have been made just yet, but there’s been plenty of fan speculation.

Margaret Qualley, Jenna Ortega, and Keke Palmer are just a few of the names put forward, but following the Armas rumor and her proven action skills, could she be our new Rogue?

Over on X/Twitter, one wrote, “Look at that face. If she can master a Southern accent, that’s Rogue, sugah.”

“I could see her being Rogue too,” said another, while a third added, “She will 100% be Rogue.” A fourth chimed in, “Rogue for sure, she can fit the mold.”

Some fans have other ideas, including this person who said, “I could see Magik, but Anya Taylor-Joy may fit better. I think she could make moves as Elektra or maybe X-23! I still think Keke Palmer needs to be Rogue.”

Another commented, “An X-man please, possibly Kitty Pryde.” For now, all we can do is speculate and wait for updates.
