Summary
The characters withinCobra Kaihave had many different allegiances throughout the series run, but season 6 puts nearly all of them under one roof. After many ups and downs over the past five seasons, Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do have finally defeated Cobra Kai; in theCobra Kaiseason 5 finale, they uncovered Terry Silvers’ cheating ways, culminating in several fighters defecting from the dishonored dojo. This set the stage for a new era for Johnny and Daniel’s dojo.
Thanks to their big victory, Johnny, Daniel, and Chozen begin season 6 with the strongest roster any of the show’s dojos have ever had at their disposal. Not only do they have fighters like Robby and Miguel on their side, but they also have a number of students who weren’t previously on their side, such as the original Cobra Kai students who joined Kreese in the season 2 finale. As far as established characters go, their dojo - officially rebranded as just Miyagi-Do now - counts quite a few on its active lineup.

14Big Red & Little Red
Played by Christopher Ryan Lewis & Shane Donovan Lewis
Big Red (Christopher Ryan Lewis) and Little Red (Shane Donovan Lewis) are among the most intriguing background characters inCobra Kaiwho have been around since season 2. Often dubbed the Ginger Twins,it was not revealed that Eagle Fang student Big Red and Miyagi-Do’s Little Red were brothers until the season 5 finale(viaEW.) While these two characters have been mostly silent throughout ofCobra Kai’srun, they add to the show’s unique identity and are on hand in season 6 as Miyagi-Do students.
13Nathaniel
Played by Nathaniel Oh
Nate has been a recurring character inCobra Kaisince season 2. Although he first joined the Cobra Kai jojo, he soon found that he preferred the more defense-based strategies of Miyagi-Do. Although Nate appeared to be a nerdy child, he was also quite aggressive and foul-mouthed, and it took him some time to let go of the lessons he had learned in Cobra Kaionce he started training under Daniel.Nate has been a mostly minor character throughoutCobra Kai, who will hopefully get some extra time in the spotlight in the final season. Notably, Cobra Kai acknowledged his progress by having Mike Barnes designate him as one of the 12 best fighters.

Bert was the youngest student in the Cobra Kai dojo and quickly adopted Johnny Lawrence’s no-holds-barred-strike-first mentality. However, after refusing to sacrifice a hamster, he was exiled by John Kreese and switched to Johnny Lawrence’s Eagle Fang Dojo.Bert was an important contributor to getting Stingray to flip on Terry Silverand reveal that John Kreese had been framed for his assault. Although Bert’s potentially the weakest fighter acrossCobra Kai, he has been a consistent fighter since the very first season. However, he wasn’t one of the students Mike Barnes names as one of the 12 best.

Played by Dallas Dupree Young
Kenny Payne was introduced inCobra Kaiseason 4 as the little brother of Shawn Payne, the juvenile delinquent that Robby Keene was imprisoned with.Kenny was relentlessly bullied by Anthony LaRussoand became rather mean-spirited and aggressive after joining the Cobra Kai dojo. After discovering Terry Silver’s true nature, he became disillusioned with Cobra Kai and quit the dojo. Thanks to advice from Shawn and prodding from Robby, Kenny finally joined Johnny and Daniel, but mysteriously disappeared after falsely believing that Anthony sabotaged his chances of being onMiyagi-Do’s Sekai Taikai team.
10Anthony LaRusso
Played by Griffin Santopietro
Unlike his sister, Anthony LaRusso never received formal karate training from his father growing up and was initially presented as more interested in video games than in any real-life sporting activities. However, this changed in later seasons when he joined the Miyagi-Do and found a mentor in his fellow student, Robby Keene.Anthony’s self-esteem issues presented themselves in bullying behavioragainst students like Kenny Payne, but he has since seen the error of his ways and attempted to make amends.
9Devon Lee
Played by Oona O’Brien
In Season 5 ofCobra Kai, the former Eagle Fang student Devon Lee joined the Topanga Karate dojo and quickly found herself in the Cobra Kai Dojo after Terry Silver orchestrated their merging. While the other students accepted these new changes, Devon struggled with them and was wary of her old rival and fellow student, Tory Nichols. Her ambition to get better continued in season 6, but ultimately got the best of her; she cheated to remove Kenny from her path to securing a spot in the Sekai Taikai karate tournament.
8Mitch
Played by Aedin Mincks
After joining Cobra Kai, Mitch quickly adopted their aggressive fighting philosophy and soon became a bully. This strained his friendship with Chris, who joined Miyago-Do and felt more aligned with their defensive stance.Mitch later followed his sensai Johnny Lawrence into the Eagle Fang Dojobut, in season 5, secretly re-joined Cobra Kai and worked as a spy, gathering information on Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do. He was quickly forgiven in season 6, and courtesy of Mike Barnes, earned a nickname he actually appreciates: “Muscles.”
7Chris
Played by Khalil Everage
Chris initially joined the Cobra Kai Dojo but soon found their ruthless mentality was too much for him, so he joined Daniel LaRusso in Miyagi-Do. While it took some time for him to gain acceptance in Miyagi-Do, he eventually became an essential part of the team, whose kind-hearted personality and significant fighting skills made him a reliable and important ally for his fellow students. Chris has come a long way throughout his training with Daniel and Chozen and currently stands as one of thestrongest fighters inCobra Kaiand Miyagi-Do.
6Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz
Played by Jacob Bertrand
When Eli “Hawk” Moskowitz was first introduced inCobra Kaihe was an introverted, bullied student who soon reinvented himself as a mohawk sporting fighter who learned how to “flip the script” on his reputation.Hawk was a Cobra Kai student who went on to join his sensei Johnny Lawrence in Eagle Fang, and although he sometimes took the aggressive stance of his dojo too far, he was always a character of great determination. In season 5, Hawk attempted to build bridges with those he wronged in the past, and his character growth and maturity has progressed further in season 6.
5Demetri Alexopolous
Played by Gianni DeCenzo
Demetri initially joined Cobra Kai alongside his good friend Eli, but soon found he could not get on board with their aggressive style and left to join Miyagi-Do. While it took some time for Demetri to find his footing in the world of karate, he’s since grown into a fighter of significant skill who has maintained the philosophy that violence should only be used as a last resort. In the later seasons ofCobra Kai,Hawk repaired his fractured relationship with Demetriand reestablished their identities as the “binary brothers,” who embraced their roles as intelligent social outcasts.
