GTA 6 fans sick of waiting for Rockstar to make an announcement can finally pre-order the game, but it comes with a caveat.
The long-awaited next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is still on pace torelease in Fall 2025, but Rockstar has been quiet ever since thefirst trailerwas unveiled back in December 2023.
Fans have been waiting with anticipation for the second trailer as well as official gameplay information, having only seen bits and pieces from theinfamous 2022 leaks.
They’re also still awaiting pre-order details such as how much the game will cost, with rumors suggesting it could retailabove the standard priceof most AAA titles.
However, some fans discovered they can actually pre-orderGTA VIearly despite there not being an official announcement.
GTA 6 pre-orders finally available… kinda
On social media, users posted photos from the inside of a Gamers Hideout location – a game store in Malaysia.
On the shelf was a fake box of GTA 6 with the official artwork printed on. Yes, that artwork. The one fans have been staring at for over a year.
While there is no game inside, the box is a placeholder showing that fans can put a RM14.90 (around $3 USD) deposit on GTA 6.
Gamers Hideout websitealso lets players pre-order GTA 6 and provides more info. Basically, this system lets players pre-order the pre-order, so they can guarantee they’ll be able to get a physical copy.
Once GTA 6’s official price, editions, and more details are revealed, players will need to pay the full amount.

Although this may not be the big pre-order announcement fans are waiting for, those afraid of potentially missing out on GTA 6 may want to take advantage of this offer.
