Minecraft movie confirmed to have tribute to YouTube legend Technoblade
Though it’s been years since Technoblade died after his battle with cancer, he’s still remembered fondly as one of the biggest Minecraft YouTuber’s out there and is still revered by the game’s biggest creators.
Though the YouTubers he collaborated with like TommyInnit and Dreammay not be on the best of terms now, collaborations and SMPs led by Technoblade defined thelate 2010s era of Minecraft YouTube.He was immensely popular.
And, though we don’t yet know how Techno will be in the Minecraft movie, it’s been confirmed in an interview conducted by TommyInnit that there will be a tribute to the late YouTuber in the Minecraft movie.

The Minecraft movie has been divisive among dedicated fans to say the least. Using live action and a revised take of the game’s blocky style has fans wary of the films quality despite it having someA listers attached.
However, the concerns of many have been assuaged by the fact that they’re putting some references in for real fans of the game and its biggest creators.
In an interview with Torfi Frans Ólafsson, Minecraft’s Creative Director of Original Content, he revealed that the team made a point of putting a reference in the movie.

He was hesitant to answer Tommy’s question on the topic, but ultimately gave way and conceded a bit of information about the film.

“That felt like the right thing to do,” he said. “You’re gonna have to see it to see what it is.”
That’s all he had to say on the matter, though it’s not unusual for people working on a project the size of of the Minecraft movie to keep their cards close to their chest on the film’s contents.
There are a number of ways they could do it, whether it’s a more obvious inclusion of his Minecraft avatar or a smaller reference to one of his many YouTube series.
