NBA superstars want to become streamers as they ‘make more money’
NBA superstars Devin Booker and Giannis Antetokounmpo want to become streamers as they believe creators make more money than they do, even though the pair of them make $50m a year.
Over the years, plenty of celebrities and athletes have crossed over into the streaming world. Some are genuinely talented gamers, dominating in the likes of Call of Duty, Fortnite, and even Valorant.

Just because they’ve got skills on the sticks, doesn’t always make for an entertaining stream, though. Some don’t connect with audiences like popular streamers do, even though they may have massive fan bases already.
Plenty of NBA stars, in particular, have gotten deep in streaming.Kyrie Irving goes live on a regular basis, Ben Simmons has played with OpTic and FaZe members on CoD, andDevin Booker even had a Warzone skinat one point.

Devin Booker says there is “more money” in streaming than NBA
Booker, who plays for the Phoenix Suns and is in line for a two-year contract worth $150 million in July, would be open to making the switch to streaming.
His reasoning? They make more money than basketball players. That’s what he told FaZe Adapt during their link-up on June 15.

“Hell nah, there’s more money in this s*it bro. I should be doing what y’all are doing,” he told Adapt. “You think? Nah, no. I don’t know,” the FaZe Clan member quickly fired back.

Giannis Antetokounmpo shouts out Kai Cenat & IShowSpeed
NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo echoed that on June 17 too, asking for Kai Cenat and IShowSpeed’s help in getting him started.
“Should I start streaming? IShowSpeed, Kai Cenat, help a brother out!” he said during a TikTok live. However, his wife was less than impressed by the idea.
