Scarlett Johansson & Adam Driver fighting is being used by farmers to scare wolves
In a piece of news that wasn’t on our 2025 bingo cards, a US Department of Agriculture spokesperson has revealed that farmers are using audio recordings of Scarlett Johansson andAdam Driverarguing to scare wolves away from cattle.
Despite ending herMarveltenure, Johansson is still flying high, having recently appeared inJurassic World: Rebirth, which pushed her to becoming the highest-grossing actor of all time at the box office.

Driver is similarly one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood after appearing as Kylo Ren in multipleStar Wars movies. Soon, he’ll be joining forces with Johansson to star in the upcoming crime drama, Paper Tiger.
But this isn’t the first time they’ve worked together. In 2019, they played a couple in Noah Baumbach’s Marriage Story, and if you’ve seen the movie, one scene in it will no doubt stick in your mind: the painfully realistic argument they have at its climax.

Scarlett Johansson and Adam Driver scene is scaring wolves
Turns out, the scene in question doesn’t just disturb viewers at home – it’s actually a pretty effective predator deterrent. This was revealed in a report by theWall Street Journal, which examines the new tech being used to fight a spike in wolf attacks across the American West.
The outlet states that the number of once-endangered gray wolves has spiked since they were reintroduced in Yellowstone National Park in 1995, leading to a huge increase in attacks on cows and sheep.

To counter the issue, farmers are deploying drone cowhands – essentially drones that help with farming tasks – to haze the predators by using loud audio recordings. And that includes the Marriage Story clip.
This was revealed by Paul Wolf (his actual name), a USDA district supervisor in Oregon, who has been leading the application of a federal study on drone wolf hazing since 2022.
