DCU Chapter One Gods And Monsters: Every Movie & Show In The New DC Universe

James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe begins with six movies and six shows that open the DCU’s first chapter, “Gods and Monsters”.

Who Is Steve Lombard And How He Fits Into Superman’s Story

Created by Cary Bates and Curt Swan,Steve Lombard made his first DC Comics appearance inSuperman#264 in June 1973. In DC lore, Steve was a former football star, having played as a quarterback, before entering the world of journalism. In most incarnations, Steve is a sports reporter for the Daily Planet and a fellow rival to Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

While a supporting character in the comics,Steve’s function inSupermanwill likely be to serve as someone who will offer a counterpoint to Clark and Lois. Gunn has teased that there will be an exploration of the Daily Planet in this incarnation, and given how Steve has never been explored in depth through pastSupermanmedia, the movie will be a way to do it. Whether or not other Daily Planet characters are joiningtheSupermancast, like Cat Grant and Ron Troupe, remains to be seen.
