Wendy’s brings its iconic square patties to stores, but there’s a catch

Popular fast food chain Wendy’s is bringing its iconic square patties to stores, but not everyone will be able to find them.

Wendy’sfounder, Dave Thomas, opened his first restaurant in Columbus, Ohio, back in November 1969. Since then, the brand has skyrocketed in popularity with thousands of stores across the United States.

Among the things that make Wendy’s stand out from other fast food restaurants are its square patties, Frostys, and its ever-popular chili.

The company has now made its square patties available in the supermarket for the first time, but they’re only in two markets so far.

It’s unknown when the company plans on bringing the patties to other markets, but they have made it clear that they’re open to further expansion if these sell well in the cities they’re currently available in.

This is far from the first time a fast food restaurant has expanded into supermarkets. Over the last few years, Arby’s, Subway, Chipotle, and more have brought their popular sauces into stores. Arby’s has even gone as far as bringing their curly fries into the frozen aisle alongside White Castle’s sliders.
