Hit the bathroom when the Fantastic Four return from space

The Fantastic Four First Steps clocks in at 1 hour and 54 minutes, making it a relatively short Marvel movie. It’s also action-packed from start-to-finish, so ideally audiences will sit for the duration and not miss a moment.

But if nature calls and youreallydon’t have a choice, the best time to pop out is when the Fantastic Four return to Earth following their dramatic encounter with Galactus in space.

The moment occurs around the 50 minute mark, when their spaceship re-enters the atmosphere and Marvel’s First Family emerge with their new-born baby Franklin, to rapturous applause from onlookers.

You’ve then got a few minutes to do your thing, as the Fantastic Four explain and discuss what’s just happened, which is information we already know.

Reed first steps up to a podium and fields questions from the press, during which he reveals that the heroes failed in their mission to defeat Galactus, and that the planet-muncher asked too high a price to spare the planet.

“Are we safe?” comes the key question, to which Richards responds: “I don’t know.”

A brief scene between Galactus and Silver Surfer follows, in which the big guy says, “I need the child, I must get the child,” and talks about the baby’s infinite power being able to absorb his hunger so he can finally rest.

The Fantastic Four then discuss and debate the issue in front of a chalkboard, where we learn that Galactus pre-dates our universe and reality, making him an “unknowable life.”

Reed quotes Archimedes and says he needs a lever, but no solution is found or conclusions drawn at this point.

That should give you enough time to do any business, as the plot cracks on at around the one-hour mark, when Johnny figures out the key to Silver Surfer’s language, and Reed and Sue have a poignant argument as Richards continues his search for a “workable plan.”
