Summary

Only one episode remains inPretty Little Liars: Summer School, andthe finale will surely (and finally) uncover Bloody Rose’s identity, either confirming or disproving my theory regarding who has been terrorizing the Liars and Millwood all season long. The Max slasher teen drama television series, created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, follows a group of five teenage girls who were brought together in the first season (Original Sin) to pay for their respective mothers' sins. Now, another villain is seemingly holding a grudge against Imogen, Tabby, Faran, Mouse, and Noa inPretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Bloody Rose is modeled after Rose Waters, Archie Waters' (aka “A”) mother, but I think the real Rose can be ruled out as a suspect, even afterPretty Little Liars: Summer Schoolepisode 7 revealedshe is alive. It’s too obvious and feels like a cop-out if it is Rose. So, since she is likely not Bloody Rose, three suspects remain (at least, in my mind) — Mrs. Beasley, Dr. Sullivan, or Mrs. Langsberry.By gathering all the information and clues spread throughout the season, I believe I knowwho Bloody Rose is inPretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Mrs. Langsberry Is My Top Bloody Rose Suspect In Pretty Little Liars: Summer School

Mrs. Langsberry Likely Wants Revenge For Chip’s Death

I’m locking in my final Bloody Rose theory before thePretty Little Liars: Summer Schoolfinale premieres on June 20 and predicting that Mrs. Langsberry, Chip’s mother, is the villain. Chip did awful things to Tabby andImogen inPretty Little Liars: Original Sin, and after Archie broke out of jail, Chip was one of the “loose ends” on his list. Archie killed him, butMrs. Langsberry has made it clear throughout season 2 that she blames Imogen and Tabby for her son’s death.Consequently, Mrs. Langsberry has a motive for wanting to punish the two teenagers and their friends.

Mrs. Langsberry, played by Carey Van Driest, hasn’t appeared much in the second season of the Max slasher teen drama, making her presence subtle yet impactful. When she does show up in a scene,Mrs. Langsberry’s vibes are always menacing and spiteful. She first berated Tabby for releasing her short film that depicted Chip in a negative (but truthful) light because, of course, the older woman doesn’t believe Imogen or Tabby regarding what Chip did to them.

Later, Mrs. Langsberry confronted the girls in front of “Redemption House” inPretty Little Liars: Summer Schoolepisode 6and told them they are liars who are beyond saving. She appears to be tied to the church, seemingly linked to Bloody Rose, further proving the theory that she’s the antagonist. Mrs. Langsberry obviously has the right motive (and look) to be Bloody Rose. However, this theory gets even stronger when connecting it toScream 2, whichSummer Schoolsometimes parallels.

Wes and Christian might be trying to make the perfect horror film, and they’re using Bloody Rose to do so, just like Mickey used Nancy Loomis to gain notoriety inScream 2.

Spoiler alert for those who haven’t seenScream 2— Ghostface turns out to be college student Mickey who is working with Billy Loomis' mother, Nancy. Nancy wants revenge against Sidney, whom she blames for the death of her son, just like Mrs. Langsberry holds Imogen and Tabby responsible for Chip’s murder. PerhapsMrs. Langsberry is following in Nancy Loomis' footstepsand targeting Imogen, Tabby, Faran, Mouse, and Noa as Bloody Rose. However, only time will tell if Van Driest’scharacter is the culprit inPretty Little Liars: Summer School.

Pretty Little Liars: Summer School Episode 7 Proves Mrs. Beasley Is A Red Herring

Mrs. Beasley Can’t Be In 2 Places At Once

After watching episode 7, I’m convinced that Mrs. Beasleyisn’t Bloody Rose inPretty Little Liars: Summer Schooland is just a red herring presented to viewers to throw us off. She fits all the criteria needed to be the villain as she has the right look, a grudge against the Liars, a thriving rose garden, and strong ties to the church. However, sinceepisode 7 focuses too much on Mrs. Beasley and suspicions revolving around her being Bloody Rose, she is too obvious to be the antagonist.

Pretty Little Liars: Scene Stealerwas reportedly listed as a trademark on the WBD database ahead ofSummer School’s finale, leading some to believe thatScene Stealerwill be (the yet-to-be-confirmed) season 3’s subtitle.

Mrs. Beasley was also locked in her prayer closet when Bloody Rose attacked Kellynear the end ofPretty Little Liars: Summer Schoolepisode 7. She could have escaped, but as far as we know, Mrs. Beasley was home when the villain appeared at the pool. Perhaps the writers are trying to pull some reverse-reverse psychology on the audience by making the most obvious answer the right one, but it’s unlikely.

Wait, Are Pretty Little Liars: Summer School & Riverdale In The Same Universe?

One Pretty Little Liars: Summer School character made an offhand comment in episode 6 that seemingly alluded to someone in the CW series Riverdale.

Who Are Bloody Rose’s Accomplices?

I Have 3 Suspects

If Mrs. Langsberry is Bloody Rose (and I strongly believe she is), she has to have at least one or two accomplices inPretty Little Liars: Summer School.Three characters stand out the most to me as being suspicious — Wes, Christian, and Jen.Wes is sketchy for transparent reasons, and it’s hard to accept that he has just left and moved to Los Angeles. However, the one who is more under the radar is Christian (and I refuse to believe thatJohnny is evil inPretty Little Liars: Summer School).

If Wes is tied to Bloody Rose, Christian probably is, too. Wes hired him, and Christian is from New York, where Wes attended college. Wes and Christian might be trying to make the perfect horror film, and they’re using Bloody Rose to do so, just like Mickey used Nancy Loomis to gain notoriety inScream 2. Plus, Christian commented on how cool it would be for a final girl to be Black (alluding to Tabby since Bloody Rose has yet to test her).Christian is also great at making masksand could have easily made one resembling Imogen’s mother.

Meanwhile, I’m not sure how Jen is connected to Bloody Rose. However, I’m convinced Jen’s motives for randomly popping back into Noa’s life are nefarious, especially aftershe just so happened to stumble upon Noa running from Bloody Roseand her crazed dog inPretty Little Liars: Summer Schoolepisode 5. It’s also possible that Jen lied about Shawn punching the wall in episode 7 as it was strange that the series didn’t show it happen onscreen. Ultimately, my theory is that Mrs. Langsberry is Bloody Rose and Wes, Christian, and Jen are helping her inPretty Little Liars: Summer School.
